Residents Undergoing Self-isolation on Untung Jawa Island Receive Food Aid

Hopefully it can be useful and residents no longer need to think about food needs during isolation

Thousand Islands Regent, Junaedi handed over assistance to residents of Untung Jawa Island Urban Village, South Thousand Islands Sub-district who were exposed to Covid-19 and were self-isolating.

He hoped that it could lighten their burden, as they were not allowed to leave the house before being declared cured or negative for Covid-19.

Central Jakarta Receives 1,000 Staple Food Packages

"Hopefully it can be useful and residents no longer need to think about food needs during isolation," he expressed, on the sidelines of the symbolic handover procession at the Main Pier on Untung Jawa Island, Friday (7/23).

Thousand Islands UKT 1 Head, Ade Slamet expressed, the assistance given consisted of rice, cooking oil, sardines, packaged biscuits and instant noodles.

"We provide 13 food packages to residents who are under self-isolation," he explained.

Aside that, three food packages were also distributed to Harapan Island and four quintals of rice for Panggang Island.

"Hopefully it can lighten our citizens," he hoped.
